I mean they did but their destruction allowed for one of the greatest  empires  in  history  and major  power  of  European   renaissance  to rise , the  after  mentioned  O ttomans.  Who would have thought that one random nomad  from the eastern steppes would lead to the  birth  of  figures like  Osman,  Suleiman   and  Mehmet. And the funniest part, unless your name is Georgia, is that they did this  completely  by  accident. The  O ttomans rose from the ashes of the Sultanate of Rum which the Mongols  unknowingly  obliterated in a punitive expedition . They just came in for a slap  because   of a small ...

What if I told you that without Genghis -K han, they could have been a major power .  Yep,  that’s  right, after the ru le of  Q ueen Tamar III, this  Christian   m ountain kingdom was on the verge of starting a golden age and to play with the big boys. And all  of this was  utterly destroyed  by the Mongols, and like  the rest of the  Middle-East ,  Georgia never recovered.
