I think most people have at least heard of the Assassin’s Creed series, created and managed by Ubisoft. For those unfamiliar with it, the games follow a shadow war between the Order of Assassins (the “good” side) and the Templars (the “bad” side) across human history. There are also odd plotlines about  an ancient civilization  and lost artifacts, but  that’s  not the topic here.  In reality, both  factions did exist, though they were drastically different from their video-game counterparts. The Order of Assassins, or  Hashshashins , was a militant sect defending the Nizari Ismaili Muslims from their enemies, who were mostly other Muslims. They almost never came to blows with the Knights Templar , who  didn’t  care much about world domination , even if neither side particularly liked the other.   Although the  Hashshashin  sect began in the late 11th century when Hassan- i  Sabbah founded the order, its origins go further ...

The Mongols increased the level of globalization between the east and the west  thus   facilitating  the transport of goods  but also  diseases .  T hey  also  were some of the earliest adopters of  bio  warfare   by catapulting plagued infected bodies in enem ies ' settlement , so thank you for that  jerk . Of course, all of this would have massive ripple over the world and figuring out how things  would have  turn ed  out is hard to  guess  as s o  many  factors can  change  the outcome s;   it could go any ways.  Maybe the  Song dynasty finally get their shits together and finally learn how to  build and lead an army , becoming one  of  the ...

Make sure to read Genghis-Khan full history in parts 1-10 of his adventures.   Finally, the last leg of this journey, how Genghis - Khan empire managed to throw around the history of Europe. Mongols'  direct influence was mostly on the eastern segment of the  continent,  a s  they  c ould never have gone all the way to the likes of the Holy Roman Empire and France. Europ ean castles and armies  were so different from what they usually fought that the Mongols  w ould  have had to  rework  their own  military  while standing thousands of kilometres from their home.  This was  more trouble than worth, and  so they  limit ed  themselves  to troll ing  the smaller nascent powers at their borders  with destruction .   Speaking of which, Hungary and Bulgaria got the same treatment as Georgi a  did,  utterly annihilated  right...
